It actually doesn’t, because I’m pulling apart his argument that math is utterly neutral. It isn’t.

But as far as it contradicting my overall point of whiteness, understand that math as a field of study might seem neutral, but again, I’d highlight for you that the environment in which math is taught is not. Therefore, even as neutral as we believe any subject area to be, it’s replete with understandings and norms upon which the field is operating in.
